Homework for Year 6 Week 5
Ni Hao Year 6, How are you all doing? I hope you are all well. Can I start by saying THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH for all the amazing work that you’ve sent me and I’m very proud of you for working so hard at home without any support from me or your friends in school. It is so important you keep completing the work I set as it is preparing you for high school in September. I have been speaking to the high school teachers lots telling them about you, your work and friends.
Please keep sharing your work with me on HWB and go on the Google Classroom. I love to see what you have been doing and can give you feedback on your work. Google classroom is a great way for us to message each other and check how everyone is doing. I can also help you with your work if your stuck. If you are having any problems with passwords, sending work, my maths, or going online to see the grids to find what work you have to do you MUST email or telephone the school on the numbers below so I can sort it out for you.

Stay safe and happy.
Miss you all

Homework for Year 6 Week 3 & 4
Shwmae Blwyddyn 6, I hope you are all ok and haven’t been working too hard these past two weeks!  I know that there a been a few issues with using hwb and my maths but hopefully they are sorted now. If you are having problems with passwords you MUST email or telephone the school on the numbers below so I can sort it out for you. I have set up a google classroom where I post little questions or tasks every day and you can message me on here if you need help or just want to chat to me. Once you have finished your tasks on Hwb please make sure you forward them to me. If you do not know how to do this message me and I will explain. I then comment on them and give you feedback and ways forward. PLEASE READ THE FEEDBACK COMMENTS. If you cannot use Hwb for tasks complete the work in your book. If you cannot access any work online contact school or me so we can make other arrangements for you.
Make sure you read each task carefully, so you understand what you need to do before you start. Remember when it is a task to be completed in your book think about your presentation, spelling, grammar, punctuation and make sure you use handwriting. Read your working regularly throughout the task, correct any mistakes made and make sure you’ve left nothing out. If your working on Hwb make sure you give your work a suitable filename when you save it. You may find some tasks challenging don’t worry just try your best and remember you can email me on maesycoedprimary82@gmail.com at any time for help or to ask me something and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
In our class grid I have put one activity for you to complete each day.  Your maths teacher has a grid on their maths page with work for you to complete every day as well. Don’t worry if you don’ t finish or complete all your work on the day just keep working your way through the grid (remember we all work in different ways).  Remember to check the google classroom regularly too.

I would also like you to try and complete the daily 5 activities if possible.  They are reading, maths practise, keep fit, being creative and celebrating something you have done well.  I said I’d let you know how I’ve got on. I’ve started reading one of my favourite books which is The Diary of Anne Frank. I’ve been for my daily walks and sometimes Mefin and I do a litter pick as well. I’ve helped Mefin make a robot out of junk materials, make Wallace from Wallace and Gromit out of clay and we’ve made birthday cards. Share with me on google classroom what you’ve done.

Ideas for the Daily Five
Reading ideas – any books, newspapers, or magazines you may have at home. I’m putting a link on google classroom for a free online magazine for children.  It’s got articles, puzzles, and activities you can complete. You can join RCT libraries if you are not already a member and access books and magazines online.  I found a site with some short stories on that may interest you.

Maths Ideas – Here are some online maths sites with different   levels of games. You can find the level that suits you and practise your maths skills.

Don’t forget the maths games on My Maths too.
Here is a link on Hwb to some past maths papers you can have a look at. When you go on this page you need to log in to hwb at the top right hand side of the page to access the work.
