Calligraphy

Today we have been practising our calligraphy skills with Miss Sun our Mandarin tutor. We enjoyed the activity and it wasn't as easy as it looks.

Royal Mint

We enjoyed our visit to the Royal Mint where we found out how the coins are made and worked as detectives to identify fake £2 coins.

Pontypridd Museum

Yesterday we visited Pontypridd Museum to discover the art world with an interactive exhibition. We looked at how colour wheels helped to create paintings, how paints were made, what techniques were used and the different styles of painters.

Thanks to Steve Jones from Show Racism the Red Card for a really fun and informative lesson.

Big Art

On Friday we walked to Barry Ridings to undertake  'Big Art'. We used clothing and materials to create a variety of animals. We think we did an amazing job!

Electricity!!!

Before half term we visited Pontypridd Museum to take part in a hands on activity session.  It was all to do with electricity and how it affects and helps us. The activities included static electricity, plasma ball, Jacobs ladder as well as making frogs legs move!
We had a fantastic time and learnt a lot!
